Milestone Xprotect Cannot Retrieve Serial Number

I have no experience with those cameras, but assuming your vendor is a Milestone partner, they need to have already grabbed the bull by the horns and engaged some assistance for this. I don't think Milestone lets any slob off the street rep and sell their flagship product if they don't know what they're doing.

Research: All of the documentation I can see, indicates that there should be some sort of 'Add Hardware Wizard' that appears when you first open the management client. The XProtect VMS 2017 R3 docs page references a Getting Started page. We are running Milestone X Protect Professional with about 10 Axis IP. The recordingserver log i see this error:'cannot retrieve serial number'.

Meanwhile, any chance of downloading an earlier version of the device pack? Once in a while they've had a regression bug that broke something that used to work, and the solution was to run the older device pack (drivers) for a month or two. Just an idea.. worked for me once.
