Hp Smartstart 8.3 Iso
I downloaded the 'Windows Server Enterprise 2008 with Service Pack 2' from Microsoft Volume Licensing Service Center and tried to install it using 'HP SmartStart 8.70 x64'.
In the process the SmartStart asks for the 'operating system disc Microsoft Windows Server R2, Enterprise x64 Edition' (It says: 'Waiting for valid media') and I use the dvd I prepared earlier from the iso downloaded. I verified that the dvd is readable and it has a folder structure:
[boot]
[efi]
[sources]
[support]
[upgrade]
bootmgr
bootmgr.efi
setup.exe
autorun.inf
The sources-folder is approx 2.7GB in size
SmartStart however reports:
'This disc does not match the selected operating system. Missing:sources/R2*SERVERENTERPRISE.clg'
I noticed when selecting the OS in SmartStart I could choose between:
'Microsoft Windows Server R2, Enterprise x64 Edition'
'Microsoft Windows Server R2, Enterprise x64 Edition Core'
but doubt that this is the problem.
Any takers?
